Description

In mint condition, we have an early production, probably around 1914 Tokyo Arsenal manufactured Type 44 Cavalry carbine.  This is an extremely hard gun to locate in this condition, as almost all of them were used to the point of destruction in China.  When we usually see these guns they are pretty far gone.  Of course the Mum is intact and unblemished and the bore is mint.  The stock is very sharp with clear cartouches.   You will be hard pressed to find a finer example than this rifle.  The Type 44 Carbine was the standard shoulder arm of the Japanese Cavalry.  Most were used in China and they saw many years of hard rough service so they are not easy to find this sharp and almost un-issued.  If you need an example for your collection you will love this one.
