Description
In very good condition with a matching scabbard, we have a Japanese Army type 32 Army Sword. This was the Cavalry and NCO sword that was issued beginning in 1899 and stayed in service until 1945. The sword came in two sizes: type Ko (a) the longer version for Cavlary use and type Otsu (b) slightly shorter for use by All NCO’s and men in the Military Police and all Master Sergeants. The sword was made at the Tokyo Arsenal. These swords are not particularly common especially the type Otsu so this is a good find if you collect Japanese swords.
