In 96% condition we have a fairly rare and seldom seem German WWI Military Issued Becker & Hollander “Beholla” pocket Pistol. This is still with the the holster that it was brought back with from WWI. One of the more obscure German WWI pistols this early production example dates from 1915 and has a matching numbered mag and the early desirable rubber grips. Bore is excellent and the whole setup is quite nice.
The Beholla was certainly a reliable enough pistol and was certainly usable as an officers sidearm. Like many of these pistols pressed into service it did have one drawback, in the case of the Beholla it was that the disassembly was nightmarish to undertake. After the war it was still made and sold under the names Menta and Stenda. Production ceased around 1927.
