In 95% condition, with one factory original matching numbered magazine, we have a VERY rare and highly sought after SS issue Walther PPK pistol. This is the very desirable” K Under variant” also described as Type 3 which was produced in 1938. This is early in the known serial number range and falls right into line with the known examples listed by serial number in the Gold book and in the latest book by Tom Whiteman, SS Contract Walther PP/PPK on page 49.
These pistols were procured to arm the RSHA (Reichs Security Office) personnel such as the Gestapo and SS Einsatzgruppen units that streamed into Poland right after the invasion to liquidate intellectuals and other perceived enemies of the Reich. These pistols are hard to find in any decent condition, they were used hard and few have survived. This example is in the typical condition that you find them, a bit blood spattered looking from use. Since the information about these very notorious pistols was un-covered around 23 years ago, they have become some of the most sought after pistols of the WWII era.
