Description

In 96% condition, we have a very sharp German WW1 Imperial proofed & Prussian Eagle proofed Model 1914 Mauser Pistol. This would have been made in 1917/18.  You will notice that the small  imperial acceptance stamp is located in front of the rear sight and the Prussian Eagle is on the front of the trigger guard. The pistol is believed to have been a WW2 Bring back.  These Imperial proofed 1914 Mauser Pistols are scarce and seldom seen in such fine condition. This was the most commonly used of the small 7.65 caliber pistols, and they are pretty much the standard issue small size pistol, although there were many other models obtained.  If you are looking for a pocket pistol from WW1 this is the best choice.  This is a tough pistol to find in this condition, they saw hard use during the war, before WW2 and right through that war as well.  Prussian Eagle marked pistols are rarely seen.
