Description

In antique, fine condition we have a very hard to find Spanish American War Issued Colt Model 1894 .38 Colt, U.S. Army Service Revolver that was manufactured in 1895 and is so cartouched on the grips.  This pistol is completely matching including the grips and the bore is excellent as well.  The pistol bears the inspection markings of Rinaldo A. Carr & the production date of 1896 on the left grip along with inspection cartouches on both grips.  This revolver has certainly seen some action but is still in remarkably fine condition.

This Model 1894 revolver was the 1st modification of the original Model 1892 Service Revolver and the design would be updated in the models 1896,1901 and 1903.  Only this models 1892,94 & 96 saw action in the Spanish American War, but all models were also used again in WWI  due to shortages in .45 caliber handguns.  Locating a Spanish American War used Colt Revolver is not easy, most have not survived the ravages of time.  This is a Pre 1898 Antique, so no paperwork is required for transfer as it is an antique firearm.
