Description

In 95% sharp condition, 100% factory original and correct we have an extremely desirable and seldom ever seen early pre WW2 early 1941 production Colt Service Model Ace .22lr Pistol.  This pistol bears the RS US ordnance inspectors cartouche of Robert Sears and It was shipped to the Springfield Armory in Feb/March of 1941.  Of note, this is one of only 1155 Service Model Aces that ever bore the RS cartouche.  The SM Ace was a fixture in both pistol training and competitive shooting for the small pre war Army and Navy.  At the onset of the war vast numbers of other .22lr pistols were procured such as the High Standard Pistols, but none of these pistols come close to approaching the allure and desirability of a blued pre-war SM Ace.  These pistols are seldom seen, they were used until worn out and rebuilt numerous times so finding this example original condition early blued example is a real score for us and you! Â
