Here we have a fantastic, and totally stunning Japanese Army Colonel’s Shin Gunto sword, with an extremely rare double blade engraving which certainly makes this the most desirable and rarest Japanese Sword that we have ever seen!  The engraving on the blade which is above the collar is of the highest quality and it is the only sword that we have ever seen with such an elaborate display.  The  ANCESTORAL blade is ancient, in good polish and extremely sharp, still with a visible temper line, and it is a very long 27 inches with no tang signature visible.  The pierced Tsuba and high-quality military mountings would indicate it was probably put together in the late 1930’s.  The original and quite rare Colonel’s tassel is still with the sword as well.  

This very visually stunning and eye-popping sword is certainly the finest and rarest and most important Japanese WWII military sword that we have ever handles and it would be the pride of any advanced collection.  Truly a standalone Signature Artifact of great historical significance.
