Description

In 98% mint crisp condition, we have an extremely rare and seldom seen FN High Power pistol, that is dated 1959 and marked to the Force Publique of the Belgian Congo for Officer use in that Force.  This pistol has a mint bore and is all matching.  Only 1300 of these pistols were sent to the Congo so marked and they are nearly impossible to obtain.

The circumstances of this pistol being here date back to November of 1964 when the US and Belgium invaded the Congo to rescue some hostages held by rebels.  At that time some of  these pistols and other war booty was brought back to the states by mercenaries and other US Forces.  To High Power Collectors this is a very well known and extremely desirable variant.
