In 97% VERY CRISP condition, all matching, with an excellent bore and still in the original .455 Webley caliber, we have a 1917 dated British Army Issued Webley and Scott Mark VI Service Revolver. This revolver carries the original British Military proofs, however, This revolver is not British export/ import marked, which is an extreme rarity!
These revolvers are very hard to find still in the original .455 Webley caliber as most had the cylinders shaved down for 45 acp when they were brought into this country which kills the collector value. This is the most Iconic handgun the British ever made and its held in great awe and affection by all! In the office we call this the “Lawrence of Arabia Special”. This is all you could want in a WWI Webley.
Scotty’s Collector Insight…This is a nearly impossible gun to find without the “England” import stamp or the British proof house export proof marks. It’s exactly as it was carried in WWI & probably WWII as well. This pistol would have to have been a vet bringback not to have those markings…..a REAL FIND!
