Sold VERY RARE 1899 ITALIAN NAVY CONTRACT MAUSER C96 LARGE RING FLATSIDE BROOMHANDLE PISTOL, VERY CRISP!

In 97% very crisp condition we have a very rare and seldom seen 1899 Royal Italian Navy Contract Mauser C96 Large Ring Flatside Variant “Broomhandle” Pistol in 7.63mm caliber.  This pistol is all matching with an excellent bore as well.  Absolutely a top condition example of a very rare and important early military contract C96.

The Italian Navy contract in 1899 was for 5000 Pistols and they served well past WWI and saw service in the WWII era.  These Pistols were very useful to the Italian Navy in small boat operations against the Austrians in the Adriatic. Very few survive and this is only the second example we have taken in.
