In like new hung on the mantle condition, we have a very rare, highly desirable and seldom seen Marlin Model 1895 Century Limited Rifle chambered in 45-70 Govt, one of only 1500 made to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the introduction of this Legendary Rifle and the 125th Anniversary of Marlin Firearms.  These rifles featured high end engraving, exhibition grade checkered walnut and a half round half octagon barrel, to reflect a special deluxe version of the rifle as it would have been made back in 1895 when it was introduced.

The 1895 Marlin was “big medicine” for Moose, Grizzly Bear and Elk.  It was often carried during the later Western Period notably the Klondike Gold Rush.  Marlin was the chief competitor to Winchester and they made a very quality product that serious riflemen believed was superior to Winchester’s offerings of the time.  This was a very popular rifle in the deep woods of Maine and Canada where it was highly thought of for Moose Hunting.

This would make a fantastic piece to hang on the wall of your den or man cave and would look great on any mantle.  It really evokes the rugged days of the old west.
