In 95% very sharp condition, we have an extremely tough to source example of an early production 1911 dated DWM manufactured German Army P.08 Luger Pistol. This pistol is all matching with the exception of the magazine and the bore is excellent as well. Importantly, this luger is unit marked to a hospital train unit. Only 20% of 1911 lugers were unit marked.
Only 15,000 Luger pistols were made by DWM in 1911 so finding one is challenging especially after 2 world wars and finding one in this beautiful condition is a significant event. You will notice the very early commercial style of numbering and also the post 1913 arsenal installation of the hold open to the frame which is proofed. Locating any pre 1914 dated Military Luger is a real find and getting this museum grade example will be a major acquisition for any serious Luger collector.
