In 97-98% mint condition, we have a scarce and extremely desirable end of war April, 1945 production Mauser svw 45 P.38 Pistol. This variant is the Famous “Grey Ghost” all phosphate finish that is highly desirable to collectors. This pistol is in the “f” block and was probably made just weeks before the Mauser plant was occupied by the Allies. Just to be clear this is 100% a Nazi pistol and not the post war French variant; it was made while Hitler was still drawing breath.
The all phosphate finish pistols are extremely rare, most of the svw production were dual tone mixed blue and phosphate finished. P.38’s with the svw code are very difficult to locate as they were only made for a few months in 1945. They are among the most desirable variants for collectors and this example in the Gray Ghost finish will not hang around for very long.
