In very good condition, we have a fairly scarce and rarely seen Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Carbine in 6.5mm that was manufactured in Manchuria at the Mukden Arsenal. This is matching by serial number and assembly number. These carbines are quite scarce and were made for the Japanese Kwantung Army in China. Mukden made rifles are extremely scarce and rarely seen, not many came back from China at the end of WWII and some also came back from the Korean War. They are extremely well made and very much identical to the quality of the Japanese made rifles. At the time Manchuria was an industrialized extension of Japan into mainland Asia. Japanese weapons have always been seen as a bit exotic from a western point of view and these Mukden made examples are even more alluringly exotic.
