In 94% condition, all matching and original with a mint bore, we have a fairly important and EXTREMELY SCARCE Webley & Scott Model 1909 Automatic pistol in 9mm Browning Long Caliber. This is an intermediate sized pistol compared to the Larger .455 Automatic and the smaller .32 auto variants. Due to the onset of WWI, only around 1650 were produced, and in fact this Pistol is the Final Example produced!!! Per Gordon Bruce’s Webley Auto reference book. This pistol was sold to a Serving British Officer and would certainly have seen service during the Great War.
Model 1909 Webley’s are rarely ever seen, probably one comes up for sale only every year or so. The last one that we handled was 20 years ago. This is a rare chance to own one of these very rare and seldom seen Webley Automatic Pistols.
