SOLD RARE DOCUMENTED 1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE…..NRA SPORTER….SOLD SEPT 10, 1930

In very good condition, we have a rare and seldom seen legitimate, documented, 1903 Springfield NRA Sporter Rifle.  According to Springfield Research the rifle, listed by this serial number was sold on September 9. 1930 through DCM sales and was Identified as an NRA Sporter.  This is a textbook example; the barrel is star gauged and the bolt is numbered the rifle.  The bore is decent but the blue has worn off of the metal to a large extent.  The rifle was hunted with extensively but well taken care of as the stock is quite nice and the bore is decent as well.  There are a million sporterized 1903 Springfield Rifles in the world, but finding a Legit NRA Sporter which is a legit variation of the 1903 Rifle is a hard thing to do.
