IN 97%++ ORIGINAL MINT SHARP CONDITION, WE HAVE A VERY EARLY INITIAL PRODUCTION EARLY 1T SERIAL #2222,  FIXED SIGHT VARIANT CANADIAN ARMY PROOFED, BRITISH ARMY PROOFED JOHN INGLIS MADE MARK 1 ∗ BROWNING HI POWER PISTOL.  THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST MK1∗ MODIFIED PISTOLS WITH THE SQUARE BARREL LUG.    THIS PISTOL IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL BRITISH SOE (SPECIAL OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE) CONTRACT PISTOLS FOR CLANDESTINE USE IN EUROPE.  THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY FIRST OF THESE PISTOLS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED AND CERTAINLY SAW COMBAT USE IN EUROPE.  THIS PISTOL IS AS ISSUED WITH THE EARLY 1944 DATED FIRST TYPE HOLSTER, CLEANING ROD AND SPARE MAGAZINE.   THIS IS AN ALL MATCHING GUN WITH NO IMPORT MARKS AND NO PAINT JUST THE HEAVY GRAY BLACK PHOSPHATE FINISH THAT THEY WERE ORIGINALLY ISSUED WITH.  THE BORE IS EXCELLENT.  THIS PISTOL HAS BOTH CANADIAN C ARROW PROOFS AND BRITISH CROSSED PENDENT PROOFS.  A VERY EARLY FIRST CONTRACT PISTOL SUCH AS THIS WAS UNDOUBTEDLY USED IN WW2.  THESE VERY DURABLE GUNS WERE MADE IN CANADA FROM PLANS SMUGGLED OUT BEFORE THE NAZIS TOOK OVER BELGIUM BY MR. DIEUDONNE SAIVE FROM THE FN FACTORY IN BELGIUM.  THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE FOR THE COLLECTOR AND THEY ARE ALSO NICE SHOOTERS.  THIS IS A MUST HAVE WW2 ERA COMMONWEALTH PISTOL.  THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT INGLIS MADE HI POWER, AND THE EARLIEST COMPLETE AS ISSUED EXAMPLE THAT WE HAVE SEEN.
