Description

In excellent condition, we have an all matching early War production bcd41 coded German K98k Service Rifle.  This rifle is coded bcd41 and was manufactured in 1941 at the Gustloff-Werke Factory in Wiemar, which was one of the major contractors of the Mauser rifle during the war and is a commonly encountered code in later dates but rare in 1941.  This rifle has an excellent bore and is completely matching down to the screws.  The cartouches on the side of the butt are very clear and readable as well and the stock has not been sanded.  This is a top quality example of a rarer code early war production 98k rifle and would be a great addition to any serious collection.  Finding nice 98k’s that are matching and in this very nice condition is not easy; most that were brought back were mismatched or turned into deer rifles; many decades passed before people appreciated these rifles and today they are very scarce in this original condition.  Indeed,we find at least 5 nice mint all matching Lugers to every nice Mauser rifle that we are lucky enough to find.
