IN 98% ORIGINAL MINT CONDITION, WE HAVE A VERY SHARP EXAMPLE OF A GERMAN ARMY MARKED MAUSER MODEL 1934 PISTOL WITH THE VERY SCARCE AND EXTREMELY DESIRABLE MAUSER LOGO BLACK PLASTIC GRIPS. WE HAVE A LOT OF REQUESTS FOR NICE ARMY PROOFED 1934 MAUSER PISTOLS AND THIS IS A TOP EXAMPLE. I THINK WE SEE MORE NAVY MARKED ONES THAN ARMY MARKED ONES AND THERE WERE MANY MORE NAVY MARKED ONES PROCURED THAN ARMY ACCEPTED PISTOLS.
CONSIDERING THAT THESE WERE ON HAND AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WAR IN 1939 MOST EXAMPLES THAT WE SEE ARE A LITTLE BEAT UP, BUT THIS IS A NICE SOLID COLLECTOR GRADE PIECE. THIS WAS THE POCKET PISTOL THAT THE ARMY WAS PURCHASING AND USING AT THE OUTBREAK OF THE WAR. IT WAS NEARING THE END OF PRODUCTION AND WAS REPLACED IN 1940 BY THE WELL DESIGNED HSc. THIS IS A VERY LATE PRODUCTION EXAMPLE AND WAS ONE OF THE VERY LAST ONES MANUFACTURED AND ONE OF THE VERY FEW THAT HAD THE BLACK PLASTIC GRIPS. THIS IS A VERY HARD GUN TO FIND; WE DO NOT SEE THEM VERY OFTEN AND WHEN WE DO THEY ALMOST ALWAYS BEAT TO HELL.
