IN 94% ORIGINAL CONDITION WE HAVE A NICE EXAMPLE OF A VERY HARD TO FIND JULY 12 1913 SHIPPED COLT 1911 US ARMY PISTOL.  THIS PISTOL IS JUST 2 GUNS AFTER THE USMC CONTRACT.   THE GUN IS 100% CORRECT INCLUDING THE VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGNAL BARREL AND THE EXTREMELY RARE KEYHOLE MAG.  THIS PISTOL FEATURES THE EARLY SHORT HAMMER, THE EARLY ROUNDED SIGHT AND THE HORSE ON THE BACK OF THE SLIDE.  THIS IS THE PERFECT GUN TO HAVE IN YOUR COLLECTION WITH ALL THE EARLY FEATURES.    THIS WAS THE WONDERGUN OF IT’S DAY AND THESE EARLY GUNS WERE USED TO THE POINT OF UTTER RUINATION SO FINDING ONE IN DECENT COLLECTOR GRADE LIKE THIS EXAMPLE IS A PRETTY BIG DEAL.   IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE IT WAS THERE AND DID IT BUT WAS WELL CARED FOR.   IT HAS A LOT OF ROMANTIC APPEAL EVEN TO ME.  THESE GUNS ARE REALLY HARD TO FIND WITH MUCH MORE FINISH THAN THIS, THERE WERE NOT ALOT OF THEM AROUND AND THEY STAYED IN SERVICE RIGHT THROUGH WW2.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE A NICE COLT THAT COULD HAVE CHASED PANCHO VILLA AND THEN SHOT GERMANS JUMPING IN YOUR TRENCH THEN THIS WOULD BE A GREAT GUN TO HAVE.
