IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND 100% CORRECT WE HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE OF A VERY EARLY SECOND CONTRACT PRODUCTION RUN INLAND MADE M1A1  PARATROOPER CARBINE.   THIS IS A STRAIGHT UP ORIGINAL GUN;  IT HAS NOT GONE THROUGH A REWORK AND IT IS NOT A RESTORATION.  THIS WAS MADE IN JUNE 1944 A MONTH AFTER PRODUCTION ON THE SECOND RUN BEGAN.  IT STILL HAS THE HIGH WOOD STOCK FROM EARLIER PRODUCTION BUT IT WAS PRODUCED WITH A ROUND BOLT AND TYPE 2 SIGHT.  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL STAKED IN SIGHT FROM INLAND, IT IS NOT A LATER UPGRADE.   M1A1 CARBINES IN THIS TOP CONDITION ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE AND RARELY COME UP FOR SALE.  MOST HAVE BEEN IN COLLECTIONS FOR MANY YEARS.  THIS IS A TOP EXAMPLE OF THE FIREARM MOST ASSOCAITED WITH THE NORMANDY INVASION. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WE HAVE OFFERED FOR SALE STILL IN THE ORIGINAL JUMP BAG.
