Description

IN 99% ORIGINAL MINT CRISP CONDITION, ALL MATCHING INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL MAG, WE HAVE A REALLY NICE EXMAMPLE OF A 1939 42 CODE LUGER. THIS LUGER COMES WITH A VERY UNUSUAL SET OF BRINGBACK PAPERS, ACTUALLY A FADED TAG THAT APPEARS TO READ (TO) “REV HARVEY SHAW, HERE IS A SOUVINEER FROM THE COMMAND IN FRANKFURT. LUKE QUINN MAJOR, AC” APPARENTLY THIS WAS PRESENTED AS A WAR SOUVINER IN 1947. ITS AMAZING THAT THE TAG HAS STAYED WITH THIS PISTOL ALL OF THIS TIME. THIS IS ONE OF THE HARDER LUGERS TO FIND AS ABOUT 1/3 OF 1939 PRODUCTION WAS S/42 CODED. THIS GUN WAS MADE AROUND THE TIME THAT THE SECOND WORLD WAR BEGAN WITH THE INVASION OF POLAND. THIS IS ONE OF THE CRISPEST LUGERS THAT WE HAVE HAD IN A WHILE, THE GRIPS ARE REALLY SHARP AND THERE ARE JUST A FEW HANDLING MARKS AND THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH OF HOLSTER WEAR. THIS IS A REALLY SHARP PISTOL.
