Description

IN 97+% ORIGINAL CONDITION, WE HAVE A REALLY NICE EXAMPLE OF A  WW1 ISSUED S&W M1917 REVOLVER IN 45 ACP.  THE GUN IS ALL MATCHING WITH A NICE BORE AND HAS  VERY ATTRACTIVE GRIPS.  I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THESE WERE BETTER HANDLING THAN THE COLTS. THIS IS LIKE HAVING AN ALMOST NEW NEARLY  HUNDRED YEAR OLD GUN.  WE SEE MANY MORE COLTS THAN THE SMITHS SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ONE OF THESE THIS IS A TOP EXAMPLE. THIS WAS REDEPLOYED IN WW2 AS IT CAME IN WITH THE RARE RIGHT HANDED TEXTAN 1942 HOLSTER AND A PISTOL BELT.  THESE REVOLVERS WERE WIDELY ISSUED TO MILITARY POLICE AND OTHER UNITS SUCH AS ARTILLERY DUE TO THE DEMANDS OF WAR.  THIS IS JUST A GREAT PIECE OF WW1 AND WW2 EQUIPAGE.  PROBABLY OVER THERE TWICE!  JUST TO BE VERY CLEAR ON THIS POINT, THIS IS A MINTY ORIGINAL REVOLVER NOT A REWORK, WITH A WW2 HOLSTER RIG.
