Description

IN 96+% ORIGINAL CONDITION, WE HAVE A VERY DECENT EXAMPLE OF A LATER WAR, EARLY 1945 PRODUCTION ITHACA 1911A1 PISTOL. THIS PISTOL IS 100% CORRECT AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY AS PER CLAWSON. THIS PISTOL WAS ONE OF 5000 SHIPPED TO THE ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL IN EARLY MARCH, 1945. THE BORE IS EXCELLENT. THIS IS A NICE PISTOL THAT HAS SEEN SLIGHT SOME USE BUT WAS WELL CARED FOR. THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF INTEREST OF LATE IN THE ITHACA MADE GUNS. PEOPLE HAVE BECOME AWARE THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE NEARLY AS MANY AS COLT OR REM RAND DID. WHILE NOT NEARLY AS SCARCE AS A UNION SWITCH THEY ARE NOT PARTICULARLY COMMON. ONE MADE THIS LATE IS BOUND TO BE OF GREAT INTEREST TO A LOT OF COLLECTORS.
