Description

IN 98% ORIGINAL VERY CRISP CONDITION, WE HAVE A TOP EXAMPLE OF SEPTEMBER, 1944 PRODUCTION ITHACA 1911A1 PISTOL. THIS PISTOL IS 100% CORRECT AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY AS PER CLAWSON. THIS PISTOL WAS ONE OF 5000 SHIPPED TO THE AUGUSTA ARSENAL ON SEPT 9, 1944 DESTINED FOR THE FIGHTING IN THE EUROPEAN THEATRE. THE BORE IS EXCELLENT. THIS IS A VERY SHARP PISTOL THAT SAW LITTLE USE. THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF INTEREST OF LATE IN THE ITHACA MADE GUNS. PEOPLE HAVE BECOME AWARE THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE NEARLY AS MANY AS COLT OR REM RAND DID. WHILE NOT NEARLY AS SCARCE AS A UNION SWITCH THEY ARE NOT PARTICULARLY COMMON. THIS IS A CLEAN GUN AND IT WILL APPEAL TO MAY FOLKS.
