In new in the box old stock condition, we have a very hard to find and extremely desirable 2006 Colt Reissue of the iconic 1917 WWI “Brushed Blue” (called Carbona Blue by Colt) variant of the Model of 1911 US Army Service Pistol. This has the brushed Carbona Blue in government polish. This is as close as you can get to what these pistols looked like when they left Hartford in 1917 for Service in France. They are much rarer and more desirable than the Black Army Version that Colt did at the same time.
Colt actually did a very nice job on these pistols; they were put up nicely in a double box and a copy of the original manual and a takedown tool as well. This pistol is suitable for collecting or even shooting or just keeping loaded in your desk drawer incase a Hun or two storm in. This would make an awesome Christmas gift to yourself or others as well!
