Description

IN 93% VERY SHARP ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH ALL CORRECT PARTS INCLUDING THE MAG, BARREL AND ALL THE PROPER S MARKED SMALL PARTS, WE HAVE AN EXCEPTIONAL, STUNNING  EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY PRODUCTION SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1911 PISTOL.  THIS PISTOL WAS MADE ON NOVEMBER 4, 1914.   IT HAS THE LONG HAMMER AND IS A MUSEUM GRADE EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY PRODUCTION PISTOL.  WHILE VERY WELL MADE THEY ARE NOT PRETTY GUNS LIKE THE COLTS, THEY HAVE A MUCH DULLER BLUE-GRAY FINISH.  THE BORE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THESE SPRINGFIELD MADE GUNS ARE VERY PROBLEMATIC TO COLLECT BECAUSE MOST WERE USED HARD AND HAVE NO CONDITION AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY ALMOST NEVER HAVE ALL ORIGINAL PARTS.  THIS IS MUCH NICER THAN WE USUALLY SEE THEM AND EVERY PART ON IT IS FACTORY ORIGINAL.
