SUN MAY 29, PRE98 WEEKLY NEWS UPDATE #127
News from the Office: We hope everyone is enjoying the fine summer weather we are having this Memorial Day Weekend and enjoying it with family and friends. Of course there is a much more somber and reflective aspect to this holiday that should always be reflected on. Since soon after the Civil War a day originally called remembrance day began to be observed to commemorate those lost in the war. Eventually this became the holiday we now commemorate in late May. So let’s just be mindful of our war dead and their families who have suffered the loss of loved ones as these wounds still hurt even those that happened as long ago as during WWII. There are a lot of folks who are grieving from more recent loss, as we see in Buffalo and Uvalde; please keep them in your prayers too.
Please make an appointment if you are stopping by the office. We are more than happy to pull something for you to look at if you have an interest; we just need to know in advance and don’t mind a visit.
