In 80% typical combat salty condition, like most of these pistols are found, but all matching including the mag, we have a very interesting Soviet Red Army 1938 Tula Tokarev TT-33 Pistol and the rare original German modified Soviet holster it was carried in during the war. The bore is a little rough but would clean up fine. The pistol has most of the blue worn off but that adds to the saltiness of the whole set up. It’s amazing it still has the factory original matching mag.
This is very typical of a German captured and re-issued rig. We can tell that the Germans had this pistol because the holster belt loops were shortened up to the German style of that time. Russian WWII era Tokarev pistols are not commonly found in North America and this one almost certainly came back as a WWII GI War Trophy. This pistol certainly saw a tremendous amount of action and it is still in remarkably good shape considering. Certainly, an interesting example of how one of the many tens of thousands of German Captured Tokarev Pistols was used and how it ended up here. These days there is a natural knee jerk tendency to turn ones nose up at Russian Military arms but please keep in mind that during WWII the Russians were marginally good and that at the time Ukrainians were also serving in the Red Army as they were all part of the Soviet Union.
