In war carried EXCELLENT been there & done that condition, we have a genuine US Army Issued and Fielded SIG M17 Service Pistol. It has A fairly low serial number, 937. In an extremely unforeseen and fortuitous move, Sig was able to swap out the initial batch of approx 3500 M17 Pistols that were used in the initial deployment trials and provide the Army with new pistols to replace them. The reason for this was that the tan funidh on the safety and slide levers was found to be less durable than expected. On the subsequent production these were finished in s more durable black treatment. As soon as these pistols were made available by Sig they were sold overnight and the only way you can find one is to stumble into one. We actually only ended up with a couple in spite of our best efforts and grab a pile of them.
If you thought the USMC M45a1 pistols were a huge big deal, these actually useful current Army issue pistols will be 10 times more sought after! Everybody wants one of these and in no time they will be well over 5k on the collector market. These pistols were actually deployed overseas in harm’s way and this one certainly has seen hard use which makes it an even more cherished icon of our Armed Forces. This comes with a certificate of authenticity from Sig and 3 mags and all the giblets STILL IN THE BOX. We just received the government paperwork from the foia request, this pistol was issued to the 502nd infantry regiment of the 101st airborne.
These Pistols have now dried up there are no more left and the prices will increase steadily and sharply.
