THU JUL 17, VERY SCARCE & UNUSUAL GERMAN WWII 1940/BYF, NON-STANDARD, OUT OF SEQUENCE P.08 LUGER PISTOL, MATCHING & MINT, JAN STILL PAGE 22!

Here is something for the advanced Luger Collector, we have a very rarely seen 1940 dated, Mauser byf coded Luger.  These are described at the top of page 22 in Jan Still’s Axis Pistols.  They are called Non-Standard, Out of Sequence production.  These are not depot made pistols but were assembled at the Mauser Oberndorf out of the remaining parts, likely later in the war in order to get some more pistols out to the Army.  The pistol is in 98% condition and is factory matching, except for the magazine which is an un-numbered replacement mag ,  

This is a very strange but documented variant and while I would not recommend it to most collectors I would definitely recommend and advanced Luger collector to add it to their holdings.
