In 98% mint eye-popping nice condition, we have a German WW1 Imperial Army DWM 1917 Lange P.08 Luger Pistol, commonly referred to as the “Artillery Luger”. This is all matching to include the magazine and the bore is mint. This is an early 1917 production pistol still with the fine tune front & rear sights. As fine of an example as you are likely to ever see, guns this sharp rarely come up for sale as they are all locked away in collections.
The Long P.08 with its 8 inch barrel was often employed in the same tactical roles as the sub-machine gun in WWII, they were used to protect machine gun nests, artillery and also used in the assault role with the storm troopers. This is an extremely attractive example from early in 1917 and we know a lot of our clients will definitely want to pick it up as you so rarely see these pistols this clean looking.
