This is a real find, and I can promise you that you will never see another one. In 98% mint crisp condition, we have a very rare early 3 digit serial number, 1912 production Chilean Contract M1911 Steyr Hahn pistol that is not import marked and More importantly it is with one of the few known original Chilean Military Holster in North America. This is all matching and has an excellent bore as well.
This is one of the initial order of 5000 pistols that were taken into Service by the Chilean Military. It is easily distinguished from the M1912 Steyr Hahn by virtue of the fixed front sight. There were a number of these pistols imported back in the 1990’s but this is not one of those, it is not import marked and is far finer condition than those examples. I would have to say that this is probably the finest and most complete example of a Chilean Steyr Hahn pistol to be located in North America. If you collect Austrian Pistols or South American Contract Pistols this is a true “pearl of great price”
