$3,795.00
1 in stock
In very sharp condition, we have a top example of an early 1941 production dot 1941 coded G33/40 Mountain Carbine. This rifle is all matching and was a vet bring back. this is an early gun with the solid walnut stock . This is a completely matching rifle and the stock is numbered to the carbine as well as the hand guard. The bore is mint and the blue is exceptional as well. The only issue with this rifle is that the vet who brought it back smoothed out the stock a bit, though the cartouches are still mostly visible.
G33/40 carbines in original condition are scarce and one this nice is a real treasure. Most of the rifles that were brought back after the war were turned into various grades of hunting rifles due to the light weight of the action. These rifles were used almost exclusively by the German Mountain troops and to a lesser extent by the paratroopers. Absolutely one of the most sought after of the German WW2 long arms. The bottom line on this carbine is that if the stock had not been “cleaned up” you would be paying $5750 for it.
