Description

In excellent all matching condition, we have a top example of a late production dot 1942 coded G.33/40 Mountain Carbine.  This rifle is all matching and was a vet bring back.  This is a completely matching textbook example form the late “d” block.   G.33/40 carbines in original condition are scarce and one this nice is a real treasure.  Most of these carbines that were brought back after the war were turned into various grades of hunting rifles due to the light weight of the action.  For this reason we rarely see them intact.  The G.33/40 Carbines were used almost exclusively by the German Mountain troops and to a lesser extent by the paratroopers.  Because of the small size and distinctive very attractive looks they are absolutely one of the most sought after of the German WWII long arms.
