Here is a setup that you rarely see these days, we have an NRA/DCM sale 1911 pistol from 1962. Now exactly what kind of 1911 pistol you got when you ordered one of these from the NRA was STRICTLY LUCK OF THE DRAW, most of them that I have seen were WWII reworked WWI Colt 1911’s. The guy that got this one was a bit more lucky, as he ended up with an Un-Issued December, 1944 Production Remington Rand 1911a1 Pistol, still Brand New in the factory box and sent onto him exactly as you see it here, still un-touched and in the original Remington Rand shipping box it left Syracuse New York, some 18 years earlier.
Of course this is a textbook example and comes as shipped with 2 spare mags one still in the wrapper. Finding a US WWII Service Pistol in this condition of originality is a very tall order today and this will make a wonderful display!
