Description

In 96% very sharp original condition, we have a hard to find later 1942 “i” blockĀ  production Walther ac42 P.38 Pistol. Ā This is fully rigged out with a mint bdr 1942 coded (Richard Ehrhardt) made holster and the correct early no V spare mag. Ā  These late 1942 pistols have a less polished military finish and tooling marks were not completely polished out due to time considerations.Ā  The pistol is textbook correct, with a mint bore and of course this is redundant, but it is all matching. This is about as clean of a later 42 Walther production example that you will find, exactly as it came back from WW2.

By this time in 1942Ā  the pressures of war had made the taking of production short cuts a necessity at the Walther Factory and you no longer see matching numbered mags, and waffenamted small parts. Ā The finish began to be less polished as well. Function was not impacted, and the pistols were still fairly well made well into 1945.Ā Ā Absolutely a top example of an early war P.38 rig.
