In 96% very sharp condition, we have a Heinrich Ortgies Pistol in 7.65mm (32 auto) that is marked to the BahnSchutz, the German Railways Police Apparatus, which was active from WWI through WWII and even postwar. Based upon the style of marking, this pistol went into Bahnschutz service in the late 1920’s to early 30’s, possibly in 1931 based upon the holster date. It would have stayed in service until the end of WWII and came back as a war trophy rigged out as you see it.
Of note, this pistol is fully rigged out with an extremely rare 1931 dated Robert Larsen, Berlin made police style holster which was almost certainly issued with the pistol. Â Robert Larsen made holsters exclusively for the police and apparently other Nazi/Wiemar security agencies. Â This rig was vet brought back as you see it. Â Â The pistol is all matching with a mint bore as well.
Almost all Ortgies Pistols found in North America were sold here commercially in the 1920’s. Not a large number of them were taken into Government service in Germany so getting a Bahnschutz marked example such as this is not at all common, in fact it’s a REAL FIND!  This pistol will be of great interest to Nazi era Police and Railway Collectors and the price is quite moderate as well.
