In a stunning and almost never encountered 98% condition, we have a very scarce US WWI production Remington UMC Model of 1911 US Army Service Pistol.  This is 100% factory original and correct.  What makes guns in this condition so elusive is that they were finished in a very dull and fragile finish, not unlike the Colt Black Army pistols and they rarely have so much finish remaining. This is one of the rarest and most distinctively marked of the 1911 pistols and no serious 1911 collection would be complete without at least one example and to find one in this exceptional condition is highly significant.
