Description

In 96% condition, we have a scarce early 1943 production Remington Rand M1911a1 US Army Service Pistol with the early 2nd slide logo that was Post WW2 overhauled and inspected at Springfield Army as evidenced by the “SA” mark.  The gun is factory original except for the grips and the barrel and it has been re-parked and the grips replaced which is typical of what happened to most of the .45’s after WW2.    These pistols were the Standard Army pistol up until the M9 Beretta began to replace them in the 1980’s.  This is very much the pistol that would have been carried in Vietnam and it is much much nicer than the worn out turds that the cmp is selling.
