If you are looking for an M1 Garand Rifle exactly as it would have looked after seeing some serious hard combat here you go. We have a 10-44 production Springfield Armory M1 Garand Service Rifle. It is all WWII parts, mostly factory original including the un-cut op rod and lock bar rear sight and original parkerization. I would guess it went through an ordnance field repair depot and went right back into action as the trigger guard is milled not stamped. The stock has been boned which was common practice in the field. The P proof and bottom pistol grip cartouche are very clear. Boning was a process by which you took a meat bone and rubbed down the stock; this sealed the grain smoothed the wood and gave it some weather proofing.
This rifle is pretty much what you would expect it too look like after several hard fought campaigns; it speaks to you, well cared for but carried and used in harms way.
