In 98% exceptional, mint crisp condition, we have a very scarce early 1939 production “Crown N” proofed Walther PPK Pistol with the Nazi Police Eagle/C acceptance mark. The pistol is of course matching with a mint bore and a beautiful grip too! Only around 5500 of these early “Crown/N” Proofed PPK’s were Police marked and they are scarce and highly desirable. There were 5 times as many later Eagle/N proofed Nazi Police pistols produced which makes this early gun all the more desirable.
Pistols like this were procured by the Germans to arm the rapidly expanding Nazi Police Apparatus that was needed to secure the Freshly conquered states of Europe. This pistol was made prior to the start of the war and was produced to the highest commercial standards that Walther was famous for. If you collect Walther Pistols this is a top tier example of a highly desirable variant.
