Description

In mint crisp all matching condition, with probably the most stunning tiger striped Walnut stock we have ever laid eyes on, we have Museum grade example of an antique, Ludwig Lowe made 7m/m Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Service Rifle.  The rifle is all matching and has an excellent bore.  You will also note the iridescent fire blued parts as well.

This was one of the earlier Mauser rifles brought into the country back in the 1950’s or early 1960’s and it is not import marked.  You could spend hours and if you purchase it you definitely will spend hours looking at the stock, it is an absolutely stunningly beautiful piece of wood that will mesmerize you; the stripes shimmer as you manipulate it!  You would look long and hard to find a better example.

The really neat thing is that this rifle does qualify per ATF guidelines as an antique, it was made in 1895, so no C&R is required for purchase.  This rifle would make a stupendous wall hanger or  a shooter, or you could even use it to re-inact the little known Chilean/Bolivian Fruit War of 1899.
