Description

This is an extremely interesting and important  Early Nazi era 1932 production Walther PP Pistol that was presented to StandartenFuhrer Hans Döring upon the occasion of transfer to another command in 1933.  The gun is only rated about 90% because unfortunately there is significant pitting on the right side of the slide likely caused by laying in a damp holster or area.  Inspite of the pitting the engraved is quite legible and there is absolutely zero chance that this is not completely genuine and original.   All of the information in the engraving coincide with his service records.  Copies of this information and some other research from the 1990’s when this pistol came to light are included but quite frankly the internet will provide a plethora of information on this well known high Ranking SS officer.

Hans Döring was a major figure in the SS, most notably in the Transportation area early and later and significantly in the Nazi Police Apparatus.  During the War he was a Top SS Police commander in Ukraine and held the Police rank of Major General in the ORPO, (Order Police).  Genuine SS attribute guns to Senior Leaders of this nefarious organization are extremely rare and most are highly suspect.  This artifact has been thoroughly vetted and is absolutely an extremely rare example of a gun with airtight provenance to a senior SS Leader.
