Description

In 98%++ mint crisp stunning condition, we have a top example of a pre war Colt 1911a1 US Army Service Pistol.  This pistol was shipped to Springfield Armory on November 7 ,1941  exactly a month before the Japanese Attack at Pearl Harbor.  This pistol is 100% factory original; the slide is matching, it has the correct Colt hollow back grips and the small G Colt marked barrel that has a mint bore.   It would be very tough to find a better example.

1941 was the last year that Government pistols were made in low production numbers and they are much scarcer than the later WB and GHD inspected pistols of 1942-1945.  Robert Sears inspected guns are highly sought after by collectors and they rarely show up this nice.  This is a prime example of a Newly Issued Colt 1911A1 that was on hand at the beginning of WWII.
