This is a mint crisp 100% factory original pistol that has just been played with a bit. This pistol was issued to Ensign James Kelly, we obtained the pistol, plus a picture of Ensign Kelly riding a camel somewhere in the middle east Possibly related to Operation Torch.
REMINGTON RAND WAS THE MOST EFFICIENT PRODUCER OF THESE PISTOLS DURING WWII. NOT ONLY DID THEY MANUFACTURE THE LARGEST NUMBER OF PISTOLS THEY ALSO PRODUCED THE HIGHEST QUALITY PISTOLS AS WELL. It was obtained from the nephew of the vet and he sent along a copy of a picture of his navy ensign great uncle riding a camel in the Middle East practically like Lawrence of Arabia. Navy attributed service pistols are not often seen and this really adds a layer of allure to the pistol. This is Also very attractively priced for the summer. You are probably saving $2-400 off buying it during peak collecting season.
