In very good all matching condition we have a very rarely seen Hungarian Army Model 35M Service Rifle in 8×56 caliber. You have probably seen this ammo in German marked boxes on the 5 round stripper clips, it’s still pretty common plus it is newly loaded and quite available as well at SG Ammo.
This was the Standard Infantry Rifle of the Hungarian Army at the outbreak of WWII. They were heavily engaged on the Russian Front with their Nazi German Allies and these rifles saw much action there. In 1943 another version of this rifle came out in the standard German 8×57 for more uniformity and it was called the 43M Rifle. By this time Hungary was pretty much knocked out of the war. These rifles are seldom seen here in North America as they were most often employed on the Eastern Front.
