In 97% very sharp condition we have a 1937 production, Czechoslovakian Army issued Cz 24 pistol in .380 auto caliber. The Cz 24 pistol was the Czech Army Service pistol until the country was digested by the Nazis. When the Nazi’s took over the country all military Small arms were transferred to the German Armed Forces especially the SS, Who are often seen caring these pistols in contemporary photographs.
This top example is all matching with an excellent bore, and no cracks or chips on the grips. It is much nicer than you usually see these guns. If you collect World War II German handguns this is certainly a piece that you must have in your collection and if you collect Czech Pistols, This is an extremely fine example of a Cz 24.
Scotty’s Collector’s Insight…Cz24 Pistols are not easy to find in attractive condition due to the fact that the slide is very rounded and is vulnerable to significant wear and finish loss; they usually have very worn looking snouts. This one is certainly a very attractive example and current market conditions make this a very modestly priced rarity; especially when you consider this pistol was almost certainly co-opted by the Waffen SS, who received the Lions share of Czech Miltary small arms.
