In 96% very sharp condition, we have a fine example of a WWI 1916 dated & unit marked Austro-Hungarian Military Issued Model 1912 Steyr Hahn Pistol. This pistol is unit marked “Z.W. 125” this translates to Zentralwache Wien which in English means Materiel Reserve Vienna. Unit markings on Steyr Hahn Pistols are seldom seen. This Also comes with a rarely seen holster as well.
This is military accepted in 1916 and is all matching with an excellent bore. Chambered for the 9mm Steyr cartridge this was a tad more potent than the 9mm Luger cartridge. This pistol has no magazine and is loaded from the top either singly or with a stripper clip. Although the design was a bit archaic the pistols were very reliable and were in still in widespread use by many combatants during WWII, especially in Italy. If you collect WWI era pistols this is a fine example for your collection, made even more desirable by being rigged out and unit marked.
Scotty’s Collector Insights…This set up has two things going for it, the unit marking and the holster. You just never see these holsters, they are very difficult to obtain.
